Introductions and Purpose

Hello! My name is Jimmy Can.

I've been to a lot of conventions over the years, and I've learned a lot about what works and what doesn't. So I thought it might be helpful if I shared my experiences with you.

I've been going to conventions since Highschool. Back then my aunt used to work for the convention center and would get tickets for me to attend. I would just walk to exhibitor halls, lining up for all the free things I can get. As I got older and I afford my own ticket and then my own merch. I also realized a couple of things:

• The first time going to a convention can be daunting
• Going alone can be a big challenge
• Getting merchandise can be a hassle
• There's not a lot of resources available 
• It will be a lot of people's first experience with the dreaded "Linecon"
  
  

I have experienced many challenges attending many cons. I've been going to conventions for a long time now, I have walked millions of steps on convention floors, and with this blog I plan on sharing everything I know and all the resources I can find to make your convention experience the best. 

As a convention goer, it can be hard to find all the information you need in one place. The internet is full of resources, but they're often spread out over many websites and social media platforms. I'm going to try my best to make it easy for you with this blog! Here, you'll find everything from tips on how to survive your first con experience; advice on preparing for cosplay; advice on what kind of bag is best for carrying around all your stuff! 

When you go to a convention, you get the chance to meet other people who love the same things as you do and share their interests with others. You can learn new skills and meet people who are like-minded in their passions. It's also a place where people feel comfortable sharing themselves and their true selves. People go to conventions and expos for many reasons and I aim to make sure this blog makes them all effortless.
