Event Review: Harajuku Day Los Angeles January 2023

Thank you for joining me for a review about the second event I attend this year. Harajuku Day Los Angeles is a monthly event held every 3rd Saturday of the Month in the 2nd floor of Little Tokyo Galleria.

Ticket price: Free

Parking: $20 max, Free with validation from 2 stores in the mall

Harajuku Day LA was very fun to attend and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for one of a kind accessories. From the parking lot you take a small walk into the mall and directly into the event. It is a small but mighty event. This is an event you go to express your style and express yourself however you like. The first thing you see is an archway welcoming you and a small but succinct explanation on what Harajuku is; displayed below:

This event runs 4 hours, from 12 PM to 4 PM but you can finish seeing what every booth has to offer in under an hour. There are 25 talented artists each selling items that range from handmade accessories, handmade clothing, second hand items imported from japan, charms and stickers. I do recommend that if you find something you like to buy it because if you hesitate and loop around it will probably be gone. That happened to me with a broach I really liked. you can find accessories here that will compliment any fashion trend you have have. From goth to rainbow to pastel to cutesy, you will leave this event with more style options than before.
Besides buying accessories the best thing about this event is seeing everyone dressed up. If you are a photographer this is an event you don't want to miss. I saw more styles at this event than I can count. And everyone is extremely friendly, complements are heard left and right throughout the event. While it only takes about an hour to see all the booths, you can also check out the rest of the mall. In the first floor there's a great selection of food options like cream puffs, corndogs, and taiyaki. The event is surrounded by restaurants that serve delicious food and in the floor above there is X-lanes, were you can bowl and play arcade games. By visiting these stores you'll have no problem getting the necessary validation to make parking free.
Overall I give this event a 9/10, you can find some one of a kind items and you can polan your day around it. The event being in Little Tokyo allows you to explore the rest of the area. You can stay up to date on Harajuku Day LA by visiting their Instagram here. Their next event is going to be February 18 and the theme is going to be "Love Core".
